IBPS Clerk Mains exam call letter has been uploaded on the official website (www.ibps.in) for the aspirants. IBPS released the call letters of candidates on Tuesday evening for the online examination poised to be held on January 21, 2018. The candidates shortlisted through the preliminary examination held in November & December are required to get their call letters for the Mains exam.
IBPS Clerk Admit Card for Mains exam will remain available for download until January 21, hence the candidates have ample time to do the needful. On the downloaded admit card, the candidates will have to affix their recent passport size photograph which should be the same as uploaded in the online application form. The candidates have to bring this call letter along with the photo identity proof in original and a photocopy when they come to the venue for the examination. Candidates are required to write their Roll No. & Registration No. on the photocopy of photo identity proof.
The candidates will have to hand over their call letter along with the photocopy of the photo identity proof duly stapled together to the invigilator in the examination hall. The candidates will have to bring a ballpoint pen, pencil & eraser with them at the time of examination. Biometric data (Right thumb impression) will be captured twice at the examination venue i.e. before the start of exam and after completion of exam.
IBPS Clerk Main Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 200 marks will also be conducted online, just like the prelims exam. The total test duration would be 160 minutes. Sections covered in the test: General / Financial Awareness (50 Questions, 50 marks and 35 minutes), General English (40 Questions, 40 marks and 35 minutes), Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude (50 Questions, 60 marks and 45 minutes), Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions, 50 marks and 45 minutes).
Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score on each of the tests as well as on the Total to be considered for provisional allotment. There will be a penalty for wrong answers in the objective tests. The provisional allotments under IBPS CRP Clerks VII will be announced in April 2018. Those who qualify the Mains exam will be allotted to the Bank of their choice, depending on the merit. A total of 7,883 vacancies would be filled by the recruitment process. The vacancies are distributed state-wise and the final merit will be prepared on the basis of the candidates’ marks in the Mains exam.
IBPS had notified the Common Recruitment Process for Clerical Cadre (CRP Clerks VII) in August and the online applications for IBPS Clerk 2017 were filled from September 12 to October 3. For all the eligible applicants, IBPS conducted the preliminary examination in December, the results were announced on December 29.
