IB ACIO Answer Key 2017 with exam analysis

Update at 4.25 pm, October 15: IB ACIO answer key will be released for the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade 2 exam held today. The candidates can check IB ACIO question paper and IB answer key with exam analysis for 15 October exam.

Report: IB ACIO exam has been conducted today by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) as the paper ended at 11 am across all the centers. IB ACIO answer key 2017 for Intelligence Bureau examination will be shortly released by multiple sources to help the aspirants. Lakhs of aspirants had applied for the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II exam notified by the Intelligence Bureau earlier this year. The IB ACIO Tier 1 examination was conducted at 33 centers across the Country today and now the release of IB answer key 2017 will further help the examinees to analyze their performance as well as calculate their score. The Intelligence Bureau functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is the Country’s internal intelligence agency. For the smoother functioning of the Bureau (IB), as much as 1300 vacancies of Assistant Intelligence Officer Grade-II/ Executive were notified in August.

IB ACIO Grade 2 Tier 1 examination was conducted as a single question paper comprising of 100 multiple choice questions. The questions were equally distributed among four sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Logical/ Analytical Ability. The candidates were given 60 minutes time to solve the question paper which turns out that they had roughly 36 seconds to solve a question. Unlike other major exams, IB ACIO exam was conducted as pen-paper based exam wherein the candidates had to mark their response to a question in OMR sheet.

Marking Scheme: Each question in IB ACIO exam carries 1 mark, while 0.25 mark (s) are provisioned to be deducted from the total score for each wrong answer marked by the candidates in the OMR sheet. As per the rules, the candidates were only required to submit their admit card and OMR sheet to the invigilator, while they were allowed to take the question paper along with them. Now once the MHA IB answer key 2017 is made available to the candidates, they will be able to check their answers by matching them with IB ACIO question paper. Being one of the prominent and much-awaited recruitment examination for graduates, IB ACIO exam 2017 holds immense importance. The national-level recruitment exam was administered today (October 15) at 33 Centres (Cities) across the Country. While the question paper is equally divided into four sections, there is no confirmation on whether the sectional cut-off applies in the exam or not. Keeping safe chances to crack the exam, the aspirants rely on the statement that ‘solve at least 18-20 questions to stand a good chance‘.

MHA IB answer key 2017 is being prepared by some of the premier coaching institutes and will be soon updated to help the aspirants. The release of IB ACIO answer key will further help the candidates to understand the marking pattern and cut-off marks for Tier 1 exam.

Only those candidates scoring enough marks in the Tier 1 exam held today will be called up for the Tier 2 (descriptive) exam scheduled to be held on January 7, 2018. While the cut-off marks of IB ACIO Tier 1 exam will be revealed later, the minimum cut off marks for Tier 2 exam stand at 33 percent. Based on the combined performance in Tier 1 & Tier 2 exam, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Later, based on the combined performance in Tier 1, 2 & interview, the candidates will be shortlisted for final selection.
