IB ACIO 2017 recruitment process commenced on August 12 and was initially due to end on September 2. However, since the online application portal suffered severe downtime, the authority – Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs extended IB ACIO last date. With the given extension ending on September 10, there is only 1 day left for the aspirants to apply for IB ACIO recruitment 2017.
Intelligence Bureau (IB) is governed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Bureau had published notification regarding the direct recruitment to 1430 vacancies (1300 posts + 130 for ex-servicemen) for the post- Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (Grade II/ Executive). The online application begun from August 12 and will end on September 10, at 11.59 pm. The aspirants having completed their Graduation or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for IB ACIO 2017 recruitment. Additionally, one must acquire good knowledge of computers.
The online application for IB ACIO recruitment 2017 can be filled through the official website mha.nic.in only. The last date for depositing the fee is September 12, till closing of banking hours. The fee can be paid through either online mode or e-challan at any branch of State Bank of India. The application fee for the IB ACIO post is 100/- INR for the General and OBC category. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ ST) and all Female applicants are exempted from the payment of application fee.
IB ACIO 2017 selection process includes two tier written examination, followed by Interview. The Tier-1 exam is scheduled to be held on October 15 at 33 notified centers (Cities). Based on the performance of candidates in Tier 1 exam, only a limited number of candidates will be called for Tier 2 exam, which is scheduled to be held on January 7, 2018.
ACIO Tier I exam will have 100 marks objective-type questions, whereas Tier II will have 50 marks descriptive-type questions. The Tier I exam will include questions based on General awareness, Quantitative aptitude, Logical, analytical ability & English language. The Tier–II will include questions based on Essay on one of the given topics and English Comprehensive (30 marks) & Precis Writing (20 marks). The duration for both the exam is 60 minutes each.
The shortlisting of candidates for Interview round will be done on the basis of combined performance in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 exam. Final selection will be based on combined performance in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Interview round.
