Next HSSC clerk exam will be on December 4

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) clerk exam is being administered across all the districts of the State for past two weeks and will go on for next two weeks too. Close to 10 lakh candidates have become part of the Haryana SSC Clerk recruitment process and half of them have already taken the written exam, while others are waiting for their respective exam dates.

hssc clerkAs per the notified schedule, Haryana Staff Selection Commission has already completed the November schedule for Clerk written exam. The exam has been conducted on November 13, 20 and 27. Upcoming dates for Clerk exam are December 4 & 11, the candidates who have their exam in December can access their admit card from www.hssc.gov.in.

The Commission had earlier provided the provisional admit cards to candidates without announcing the exam date. The exam dates were announced in October, while the final admit card download process stands divided for each exam date. The candidates were divided in groups as per their roll numbers and were asked to download the final admit card as per the groups only. For the remaining exam on December 4, the admit cards have been made available from today, November 28. For December 11 exam, the admit cards will be uploaded on December 5.

Haryana SSC is conducting the written exam in order to shortlist eligible candidates for filling 6,134 Clerk vacancies across several departments. The final selection to these posts will be made on the basis of written exam and viva-voce. While the written exam carries 200 marks, the interview (viva-voce) would be of 25 marks. From around 10 lakh candidates, only 12,268 will be called for interview and the final selection would be based on the merit list prepared by taking the marks of both written exam & interview together.

The written exam consists of 100 questions divided among two sections :

  • Section A (75 questions) – General Awareness, Reasoning, Maths, Science, English, Hindi (or relevant subject)
  • Section B (25 questions) – History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Civics, Environment, Culture, etc of Haryana

HSSC has made elaborate arrangements for keeping transparency in the written examination and to avoid the cheating attempts or malpractices, the candidates have been advised to carry only the admit card and registration slip to the exam venues. Even, Section 144 is being imposed around the exam centers to avoid any disturbance. Owing to the fool-proof preparations, no untoward incident has occurred so far.

Soon after the first-day exam concluded on November 13, several coaching institutes started preparing the answer keys of Clerk exam, however, the candidates are waiting for the release of official answer key by the Commission.
