The admit cards for HSEE 2017 (Humanities & Social Sciences Entrance Examination) have been issued to the candidates who have registered to take the test. The details regarding the admit cards can be found here at the official website.
Candidates will be able to download their HSEE 2017 admit cards till April 15, 2017 (5pm). Candidates are required to take a laser jet/inkjet printout of the HSEE Admit card. The admit card will not be dispatched through post or courier. HSEE is a pen and paper based test which will be conducted on 16 April 2017 from 10am to 1 pm. The candidates are required to check the relevant details on the downloaded HSEE Admit Card. In case of any discrepancy, the candidates are required to inform the Chairman HSEE 2017 immediately by phone/ email/ fax.
Students who are unable to download their admit card should first check their application status. If the application form is rejected then the students will not be able to download the Admit Card. If the application status is clear and still the candidate is unable to download the admit card then they should immediately contact the college authorities. Email- email@example.com.
The Entrance Exam will be conducted in following cities: Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram. HSEE results will be declared on May 09, 2017 and the offer letter will be dispatched on May 10, 2017.
HSEE examination is of three hours duration and has two parts. Part I consists of objective type multiple choice questions for 2½ hours duration (150 Minutes), administered through computer. Part II involves essay writing for 30 Minutes to be written on answer sheet distributed to the candidates at the end of Part I.
Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) is conducted for admission to the five-year integrated Master of Arts (M.A.) programme at IIT Madras for admission in Integrated MA. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is an institute of national importance which offers quality education in Humanities, Sciences, Engineering, Management and Technology at UG / PG level. HSEE is for admission into the two following courses Integrated M.A. in Development Studies and Integrated M.A. in English Studies. The first two years of the curriculum are common to all students, after which they branch out into one of the two streams. Total number of seats to be filled through HSEE 2017 is 46 (23 seats in each stream).
Admission will solely be done through HSEE. Indian nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules of the Government of India.
