Smriti Irani asks for a detailed inquiry session for a mass failure in the DU sociology paper knowing the real time truth. Approximately, 410 students failed to crack the sociology exam at the colleges under Delhi University that has given rise to manifold questions. Students are on a protest in front of the Dean’s office who’s recognized as the Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW). The students ask for the interference of the Dean as they think discrepancies are there in the results.
Here are given some points that represent the real picture of the mass failure at the colleges under DU. See the points below:
* 102 out total 120 students on Political (Hons) from Laxmi Bai College failed to qualify the exam
* 20 out of 25 at Keshav Mahavidyalaya also failed to crack the sociology paper
* 250 out of 260 students from Shivaji College were unable to manage the pass marks on the Sociology paper
* 38 out of 50 students from Janki Devi Memorial College were declared as the inefficient candidates to crack the paper.
Overall, it gives a clear picture at various colleges executing under Delhi University. In the recent years, sociology has been one of the interdisciplinary subjects for the Honors students at the colleges and it was announced a thorough probe would be conducted looking into the matters. Even the council revealed to waive off the re-evaluation fee of about 400 students ensuring the come out with the truth.
Panic has arisen among all the final year students who are worried about their career. So, every student is now waiting for the final blow on which depends the fate of their future studies. Protests would go on until the victims get the justice revealing the original situation along with the re-evaluated results.
