Gujarat MBBS Counselling 2017 Round 2 Result today

The second round allotment result for admission to Undergraduate Medical and Dental courses in Institutions of Gujarat will be announced today. The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Education Courses (AC-PUGMEC), Government of Gujarat will publish the second round of allotment procedure on 19 August, 2017, as per the schedule of Round 2 admissions. Candidates from Gujarat who got qualified in the NEET 2017 and were not allotted seats in the first round should look for their names in the second allotment round.

The three days window from 14 August to 17 August for final choice filling has completed and now the applicants are waiting for Round 2 allotment result. Based on the 2nd round allotment result, the students will have to pay the fee. As per the schedule provided by ACPUGMEC for 2nd round, the students will have to report to the selected help center and submit documents between 21st August (10 am) to 23rd August (4 pm). The students can pay the tuition fees at the branches of Axis Bank approved by ACPUGMEC. There are total 21 Institutes functioning as Help Centers for 2nd round.

A total of 3,630 MBBS seats are available in medical colleges in Gujarat. Of 3,630, 1,080 seats are present in 6 government institutes, 2,550 seats are in self-financed institutes. A total of 1,155 seats are available in BDS courses which includes 200 seats in two government colleges and 955 seats in 11 self-financed colleges.

This year, a sum of 60,425 students appeared for NEET 2017 from Gujarat, out of which 22,970 students got qualified. Based on the performance of the students in NEET, merit list was prepared by Admission Committee. Based on the merit position, the students were invited to participate in Gujarat MBBS counselling 2017 to secure admission in their desired course/ Institution.

A total of 141 seats were left vacant in the first round of allotment due to non-reporting of candidates after completion of first round. ACPUGMEC will also conduct mop-up counselling from 28th August to 30th August.

All the candidates who will be allotted seats in the second round counselling will have to submit original documents at any of the help centre mentioned in the official notification on the website.
