Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) is expected to declare HSC (twelfth grade) results for Science stream students on May 5 as per the latest reports. As much as 1.4 lakh students had given the 4th Semester examination in March and are anxiously waiting for the declaration of HSC Board results. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will publish the HSC Science result at its official portal www.gseb.org.
As per the reports, a total of 1,41,503 students were registered in Science Stream this year. The semester examinations were conducted from March 21 to 30 and now the Board is all set to declare the results. Usually, GSEB announces the HSC results in the third or last week of May, however, the Board will be announcing the results in the first week itself this year. The results of General stream are expected to be announced within few days of the HSC Science results. As much as 5.14 lakh students have given the Class 12 (HSC) General stream exams this year.
While GSEB has not released any official notification related to GSEB HSC Result 2017, many media portals are hinting that the results are expected to be out on May 4 and May 5. Even one of the leading results portal of the Country, IndiaResults.com which had earlier mentioned the result declaration for today has updated that “HSC Science IV Semester Exam Result 2017 likely to be declared on 5th May 2017.” The updates like HSC result time will be provided at this page after due confirmation from the Board. Also, the direct link to access HSC Science result will be updated here. Another portal www.examresults.net is also displaying the expected result date for 5th May.
Once the results are declared, the students will be able to access HSC Science result through their hall ticket number.
GSEB hold the Class XI-XII exams (Higher Secondary Certificate – HSC) in 4 semesters, however, the semester examination system will come to an end this year, as announced by the State Education Minister last year. The semester system was introduced in the HSC Science exams in the year 2009, but after repeated representations from parents, educational institutes and experts, the Board decided to abolish it. From the academic session 2017-18, there will be annual examinations for Class 12 as well as Class 10 students.
Also this year, as a pilot project, the exams in English, Maths, and Science subjects were conducted as per the CBSE board in some 58 English Medium schools affiliated to GSEB. This was done so as to bridge the gap in State Board syllabi and central board’s syllabi.
