Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has declared the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) result 2017 today starting from 10:30. The results have been published online at multiple results portals at 10.30 am from where the students can check their result by roll number. This year, a total of 16,901 students appeared for the annual Goa Board HSSC March 2017 examination and the board expects a rise in passing percentage.
Going by the stats, maximum students were registered in Science stream for HSSC March exams. 5,216 students of Science stream appeared for HSSC exams as compared to 5,139 Commerce stream and 3,744 Arts stream students. Apart from these streams, as much as 2,802 Vocational stream students appeared for the exam this year. The Goa Board HSSC exams were conducted between March 1 to 22 and now the Board will declare the results for all the four streams at once.
Last year, 15,410 students had taken the HSSC exams, out of which 90 percent were declared pass. The girls outperformed the Boys with the overall success rate of 91.49 percent as compared to Boys’ 85.97 percent. This year, 8,739 girls and 8,162 boys appeared for Goa Board HSSC exams held at 16 exam centers across the State. The passing percentage has been on rise for past few years and the Board is expecting the same for this year too. The clear statistics will be clear once the results are officially announced.
The Board released a press note on April 24 clarifying that the Goa HSSC result 2017 will be declared on Thursday, April 27 at 10.30 am. It has also been announced that the distribution of passing certificates cum statement of Grades/ Marks of HSSC examination will be done on April 28 from 9.30 am to 1 pm.
The students of Higher Secondary Schools located in Bardez, Tiswadi, Pernem, Bicholim, Sattari, Ponda and Dharbandoda can collect their results cum marksheets from Board’s Office, Porvorim, Bardez, Goa. The students of Higher Secondary Schools located in Canacona, Quepem, Sanguem, Salcete and Murmugao can collect results from Loyala Higher Secondary School, Margao Salcete, Goa. The private students can collect their passing certificates from Board’s Office, Alto Betim Bartez Goa, for which they will have to produce their hall ticket.

Soon after the declaration of Goa HSSC result 2017, the Board will upload the results booklet on its official website which will give an insight about the results statistics along with the performance of students school-wise as well as center-wise.
