GITAM University will be conducting it’s entrance test; GAT 2017 (GITAM Admission Test), on dates between April 16 to April 30, 2017 for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture courses. Since the tests are to be conducted online i.e., in computer based mode, the candidates are required to book the slot (the time and date of their choice) to sit for the exam.
GITAM GAT 2017 slot booking began from yesterday (April 9) and will continue till April 13, 2017. The candidates may head on to the official website (www.gitam.edu) and using their login credentials, can book their slots.
The GITAM University has facilitated the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) in which a candidate must choose the test centre, date and slot (time) of their choice for taking the exam. The hall tickets would be issued only after a candidate has book the slot.
In case the candidate fails to book his/her slot within the stipulated time frame (9-13 April), the slot for the aforementioned candidate will be generated automatically and the candidate has to appear for the exam as per those details.
The slot booking process relies on a simple rule of first come first serve i.e., whoever proceeds to book the slot first, gets more options which comes in handy when you have other entrance exams to appear for.
After booking the slot, candidates will be able to download the hall tickets from GITAM website. It must be noted that hall tickets to the candidates will not be sent via post/courier, and are required to be downloaded from the website and get the print outs of the same.
No candidate will be allowed to take the exam without his/her admit card/hall ticket. When going to take the test, you should have 2 copies of the hall ticket and a valid identity proof. And, report at the exam centre at least 30 minutes prior to the exam timing.
