The admit card of GATE 2018 has been uploaded today on January 04 by the organizing Institute – Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G), instead of January 05. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10 & 11 jointly by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee). The applicants can download GATE 2018 admit card from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
GATE 2018 will be conducted for 23 subjects in February and the exam will be of 3 hours duration for all papers. The paper will contain multiple choice questions as well as numerical answer type questions. The applications for GATE 2018 were submitted from September 1 to October 09, 2017. The candidates were given the option to choose examination center of their choice while submitting the application forms, however, they were given further time until November 17 to request a change of examination city.
GATE 2018 exam will be conducted in selected cities and towns in India across 8 zones as well as in abroad – Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal), and Singapore. The exam will be conducted in two sessions: 9 am to 12 noon (forenoon session) and 2 pm to 5 pm (afternoon session). The applicants can download GATE 2018 admit card from www.gate.iitg.ac.in and get the printout of the generated admit card.
Gate 2018 Schedule: On February 03, ME, EY, PE, XE, and XL papers will be conducted in the forenoon session, while ME, AE, MA & PI papers will be held in the afternoon session. On February 04, CS and MN papers will be held in the forenoon session and AG, AR, BT, CH, CY, GG, IN, MT, PH& TF papers will be held in the afternoon session. On February 10, EC and EE papers will be conducted in respective sessions. February 11 is reserved for CE paper and it will be conducted in both the sessions.
GATE 2018 papers will carry total 100 marks and all the papers will be conducted as Computer-based tests. IIT Guwahati has also provided the mock tests as well as past question papers for last 3 years’ exam for the candidates. GATE 2018 result will be declared on March 17.
GATE 2018 qualified candidates will be eligible for admission to Post Graduate Programs (Masters & Doctoral) in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science.
