RRB NTPC result for the first stage online exam is long awaited by over 56 lakh aspirants. The exam was organised in a long schedule between March and May this year. RRB exam aims to fill a total of 18,252 vacancies under Non-Technical Popular Categories through the recruitment exam.
The two latest reports are strongly suggesting two different views on the declaration date of RRB NTPC results. On one hand, Hindustan Times quoted one RRB official saying that the results are expected to be announced by the end of this month, another source said the results shall be announced around 15 November.
“Around 57 lakh candidates have taken the examination and so a large volume of data has to be processed. The process of scrutiny of results is on and best efforts are being made to declare the results by the end of this month,” the official told HT. Another source said “Result of Paper-1 (Now qualifying in nature) is ready. It will be declared around 15 Nov after being scrutinized by Indian Railway Officials.” The stage 1 qualified candidates will have to take second stage test which will also be the basis of final selection. The performance of the candidates in the stage 1 online exam would not be considered for final selection.
The first stage online test was conducted between March 28 to May 3. After a delay of almost 3 months, the answer keys were released by the RRB in August and another test (second stage) was also introduced. The official notice released at the time of release of answer keys mentioned that the final answer keys would be updated after considering all the received objections in September/October, however, the same has not been done till yet. RRB NTPC exam is being termed as the world’s biggest online exam and here is an authority that can not keep up with its own notices. The speculations regarding the result have only helped in testing the patience of the candidates as RRB fueled them by not keeping up with its own timeline.
In the notice, it was also notified that the candidates equal to 15 times of vacancies will be called for second stage computer based test. The shortlisting would be done on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the first online test. Second stage test is likely to be held in December 2016 (date not finalised yet, but will be held on weekdays). With no official notice issued in this regard, expect one of the reports to come true as keeping 56 lakh candidates’ future in abeyance does not suit up the stature of any government machinery.
Nonetheless, I am inclined to be assured that results will anyhow be announced in the 2nd fortnight of November with more likely window being of third week. You can follow us on FB/Twitter or even here, I’ll keep you posted with latest news and updated.
