An education fair was held by the European Union (EU) on September 30th and 1st October, 2016 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The motive behind organizing this fair was to encourage the students who are planning to study in Europe. And to also motivate the students to go and study in Europe as Europe has a number of opportunities for the students.
The fair aimed at clearing all the doubts of the students – with respect to the university, courses offered and fees. The fair not being restricted only to a particular set of students has benefitted the students who are willing to pursue their Bachelors’, Masters’ and PhD from Europe.
Around 100 exhibitors participated in the fair from from 26 member states of the European Union. The fair catered to the needs of parents as well as the parents and the students were directly able to interact with the representatives there.
Ambassador of the European Union to India, Tomasz Kozlowski, said, “The fair, to be organised in the capital, has attracted the participation of more than 100 higher education institutions from 26 EU member states, Europe has more than 4,000 higher education institutions, from top-level research establishments to small, specialised colleges, hosting about one-fifth of the world’s students.”
He further added, “Europe is recognized as the leading higher educational destination for international students, offering both cutting edge education, value for money and a rich cultural experience. Through the fair, we seek to provide a platform to aspiring students to interact face-to-face with leading universities from across Europe and explore the educational, scholarship and career opportunities available in the Europe Union.”
