Final merit list for engineering admissions has been updated by DTE Maharashtra now. Earlier the merit list was slated to be released at 12 PM, but the same was not done. We have updated the direct link which can be used to access final merit status. Candidates will have to enter application ID and date of birth to check their final merit status.
Update at 3.30 PM : DTE Maharashtra had notified that the Maharashtra CET merit list for first year engineering admissions will be released on June 22, at 12 Noon. However, as the clock has moved more than 3 hours ahead, students are still awaiting for the same. It is expected that MHT CET final merit list will be rolled out soon as the option form filling process for 1st round of CAP is to start following the publication of merit list. DTE Maharashtra merit list 2016 and MHT CET, engineering final merit list will be declared today on www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in. MHT CET merit list will be updated at the official web portal at 12 Noon. Students will have then a chance to go ahead with option form filling for Common Admission Process (CAP).
Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra has already published provisional merit list on June 19 And the students were asked to submit their grievances till June 21, up to 5 PM. Moving ahead with the admission process for first-year undergraduate technical and engineering courses, DTE Maharashtra will release final merit list today, on June 22.
Maharashtra State CET Cell has conducted the common entrance test MHT CET 2016 on May 5, for which the results were announced on June 1. A total of 2,62,133 students have been declared qualified for admissions into technical and engineering courses offered in affiliated institutions across the state of Maharashtra and Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra government is undertaking the admission process based on the results of MHT CET 2016.
MH CET is being conducted every year to determine the merit of students for admissions into first-year degree courses that include health sciences, technical courses, and pharmacy course. The students are given particular rank in order of their performance in the entrance test and then called to participate in the counselling process for admissions as per their merit and preference of college/course.
DTE will also release seat matrix of all participating engineering institutions along with the publication of MHT CET merit list. Students listed in the final merit list will be able to exercise the option entry (choice filling) to submit their choice of course and institution. First provisional allotment result will then be published on June 27 (5 PM).
DTE has introduced new Freeze, Float or Slide policy for admissions. Under the policy, students will be allocated seat in a particular institute based on their rank in MHT CET and will have two choices; either to confirm the seat or they can forfeit the seat and wait for another round of allocation. The policy is aimed towards reducing the number of wasted seats in engineering and medical colleges during admission process.
