DSSSB answer key 2017 on May 4 for JE (civil/ electrical), teacher exam

The answer key for Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) Junior Engineer (JE) and teacher recruitment exam will be officially released on May 4, 2017. DSSSB administered the written exam for total 979 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), Drawing Teacher, Domestic Science Teacher and Physical Education Teacher today on April 30. The exam was conducted in a single shift from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. The DSSSB answer key of 30 April exam will be released on May 4.


Through multiple advertisements, DSSSB had invited applications for filling as much as 619 posts of JE (Civil) under post code (04/12, 06/12, 64/13, 66/13, 67/13 and 69/13); 217 posts of JE (Electrical) under post code (11/12, 13/12, 15/12, 68/13 and 70/13); 75 posts of Drawing Teacher under post code (193/14 & 208/14); 31 posts of Domestic Science Teacher under post code 209/14; and 37 posts of Physical Education Teacher under post code 210/14. The JE (Civil & Electrical) posts are to be filled in MCD, DAMB, NDMC, DTL and DJB, while the remaining posts fall under the Directorate of Education.


The written exam of Junior Engineer posts consisted of 200 multiple choice questions, each having 1 mark. The question paper was divided into two sections, with Section A having 150 questions related to Subject/ Qualification and the remaining 50 questions under Section B dedicated to test the candidates on their knowledge of English Language & Comprehension.

DSSSB exam for the posts of Drawing Teacher, Domestic Science Teacher, and Physical Education Teacher also consisted of 200 multiple choice questions. The question paper was divided into two sections as follows:

Section A – Total 100 questions divided amongst five sub-sections, wherein each sub-section had 20 questions.

  • General Awareness
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability
  • Arithmetical and Numerical Ability
  • Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension
  • Test of English Language & Comprehension

Section B had 100 objective type questions on the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed for the post.

Overall, the written exam carries 200 marks and the candidates scoring marks above than the cut-off marks as prescribed by the DSSSB will be declared qualified for further processes of selection.

Official Answer Key

As per the official notification, DSSSB will publish the draft answer key (provisional) on May 4 at its official website www.dsssb.delhigovt.nic.in. The candidates will be asked to submit the objections against the draft answer keys from May 5 to 16, while the final answer keys will be uploaded on the official website on May 30. The Board will declare the results and marks list on June 16 and the document verification will be done from July 3 to 21.

Kindly note that the dates mentioned above are in accordance with the official notice issued by DSSSB few days back, modifications in dates (if any) shall be confirmed from DSSSB website.
