Over 6 lakh aspirants took the DRDO CEPTAM 08 exam 2016 that was held on July 17th. The answer keys are being released online by several sources as results are slated to be out next month.
The test was conducted in several examination centres at 25 major cities across the country. While gathering information about the test from candidates, we came to know that the candidates wish to know about their performance in the test and that can only be done through CEPTAM answer key. It is expected that the results of DRDO CEPTAM 8 shall be announced within two months.
DRDO has organised the test under the name of CEPTAM 08 (Centre for Personnel Talent Management) to fill 1142 posts that includes 564 vacancies for Senior Technical Assistant (STA ‘B’), 354 for Technician ‘A’ and 233 for Admin & Allied Cadre (Junior Translator, Stenographer Grade-II, Admin Assistant (English/Hindi Typing), Store Assistant, Assistant Halwai-cum-Cook & vehicle Operator).
The competition is so tough in the DRDO entry test that for one post, around 500 candidates take the test. The case has been similar this time too, though we have not received any official update about the actual number of candidates that took the test, it is expected that around 5-6 lakh candidates have taken CEPTAM 8 held on 17 July 2016. While DRDO does not release any sort of answer key for the test, candidates may find CEPTAM answer key for 17 July exam through some coaching institutes.
Usually, the whole selection process takes around a year to complete, this year too, the recruitment notification was out in January while the test has been conducted in July. The results should be announced in coming two months, followed by the interview/skill test for shortlisted candidates and then the final result would be declared.
Earlier this month, the admit cards for the test were issued to all eligible applicants, the authority had also published a list of 6,498 candidates whose application was rejected. The written test paper consisted of 150 objective type questions, with different pattern for different posts.
The candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for document verification, trade/skill test and interview based on their ranking in the written test in a ratio of 1:6 (for STA ‘B’ and Junior Translator) and 1:8 (for all other posts where skill/trade test is compulsory). The final result would be announced after the interviews and would be compiled by taking marks obtained in the written test and interview taken together in the ratio of 85:15 respectively.
All the candidates are advised to keep visiting the official websites www.drdo.gov.in and www.ceptamonline.org for regular updates.
