Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the exam dates for the written examination to be held for recruitment to Assistant manager, Maintainer and Station controller/ train operation posts. DMRC admit card for these exams would be issued tomorrow on November 12.
The examinations under DMRC recruitment advertisement no. DMRC/OM/HR/I/2016 will be held in November and December. The recruitment was notified to fill approx. 3,428 posts of Assistant Manager (Electrical, S&T, Civil, Operations, HR, Finance); Station Controller/Train Operator; Customer Relations Assistant; Junior Engineer (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil); Account Assistant and Maintainer (Electrician, Fitter, Electronic Mechanic, Ref & AC Mechanic). The online applications for this recruitment were filled from September 16 to October 15.
While DMRC has announced the exam dates only for Assistant Manager, Maintainer and Station Controller/Train Operator posts, the exam date for rest of the posts are expected to be announced soon. The schedule for respective posts is as follows:
- Assistant Manager (Electrical, S&T, Civil) – 27 November
- Station Controller/Train Operator – 4 December
- Assistant Manager (Operations, HR, Finance), Maintainer (Fitter, Electronic Mechanic, Ref & AC Mechanic) – 18 December
The admit cards for respective applicants will be made available 15 days prior to the exam date. The admit card for Assistant Manager (Electric, S&T, Civil) exam will be released on November 12, while for next two exams, the admit card will be available from November 19 & December 3 respectively.
DMRC Exam Pattern:
The exam for Assistant Manager and Station Controller/Train Operator would consist of two papers; paper 1 having 120 questions and paper 2 having 60 questions. The candidates will be given 90 minutes for Paper 1 and 45 minutes for Paper 2. The Paper 2 (General English) will be common for both the posts, while the questions would be different in Paper 1 for each post.
The exam for Maintainer posts will be of 90 minutes duration only. The question paper would consist 120 objective type questions, divided as 75 questions from technical / professional sphere, 20 questions from general awareness, 5 questions from numerical ability, 10 questions from logical ability and reasoning, 10 questions from General English.
