Delhi University commences admissions for BMS and BBA through JAT 2015

The University of Delhi, South Campus has started inviting online applications from eligible candidates for Joint Admission test, commonly referred as JAT. Candidates can get admission into the courses such as BMS/BBA (FIA)/BA (Hons.) Business economics courses offered by the affiliated colleges of Delhi University.

delhi university admissionsBecause of unavoidable circumstances, the process of online applications for admission to BBA (FIA), BMS/B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics courses that were to commence on 20 of May 2015, has been delayed. Registrations initiated at 6 p.m. on Thursday, 21 May 2015.

Joint Admission Test – JAT 2015 Eligibility criteria :

Candidate should have qualified the examination of Senior Secondary School (class XII) of CBSE or any other examination with minimum 60% of marks including the four papers such as mathematics, English and other two subjects and are taken from their list of elective subjects, approved by University of Delhi.

Minimum marks for OBC is 54%, for SC/ST, PwD or CW – 55% and for General Category that is 60% of marks. Applicants need to secure passing marks in each of the four papers considered for computing the total.

Joint Admission Test 2015 application fee is applicable as follows:

Rs.1000 for GEN/OBC for all courses (Rs. 500 for SC/ST/CW/PwD candidates)
Rs.800 for GEN/OBC for any two courses (Rs. 400 for SC/ST/CW/PwD candidates)
Rs.600 for GEN/OBC for one course (Rs. 300 for SC/ST/CW/PwD candidates)

Entrance exam for BMS/BBA, (FIA)/BA (Hons.) Business Economics courses will be based on the combined weightage of marks obtained in qualifying examination.

Candidates need to score 50% weightage in written examination, which has 120 multiple choice questions (objective type). The time duration would be 120 minutes for attempting 120 questions. There is no designed syllabus or any prescribed format for the entrance examination, questions from the following areas have been usually taken in the entrance exam :

General English
Reasoning and Analytical Ability
Business and General Awareness
Quantitative Ability

Each right answer will gain plus 3 marks, each wrong answer will lead to minus 1 mark and each unanswered question will get zero marks.

Entrance exam: 14th of June, 2015 (3PM to 5PM)
Admit cards will be issued: 8th of June – 10th of June, 2015

Note: Candidates, who are applying for improvement in class XII in 2015 to gain eligibility, shall not be considered for admission in the current session in 2015.
