Delhi govt to launch its Higher Education Loan scheme on 8 Sept

Delhi University Students Union elections popularly known as Delhi University student union polls are scheduled to be conducted on September 11, 2015 across the Delhi University affiliated colleges. Ahead of the debut of AAP’s student wing ‘Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti’ (CYSS) in the DUSU Polls, Aam Aadmi Party organized “DU-Rocks Programme’ for the fresher’s of the academic session 2015-16 at Talkatora Stadium. 1000’s of students thronged the stadium to enjoy the performances of famous celebrities like Vishal Dadlani, Raghu Ram, Shilpa Rao and Jasleen Royal during the programme.

During the program from the ramparts of the Talkatora Stadium, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that the State Government of Delhi will launch its higher education Loan scheme on September 8, 2015. Further he said that the first cheque under the higher education loan scheme without a guarantee will be offered to the beneficiary on September 8, 2015. AAP’s student wing CYSS Delhi is contesting in DUSU polls which are all set to be conducted on September 11.

As per the to-be-launched scheme any student can get a loan of Rs. 10 lakh from the Delhi Government without any guarantee. While addressing the students at the Grand and lavish Fresher’s party, Manish said, “We will start higher education scheme by giving first cheque on September 8. If you face any problem in education let us know. We will pay your fees.”

Along with the students and Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Shishodia, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and other cabinet ministers namely Gopal Rai and Sandeep Kumar and senior party members, including Dilip Pandey were also present.

While addressing the students, State Transport Minister Gopal Rai said, “repeat the mandate of Delhi Assembly polls at DUSU elections and defeat money and muscle power.” Further during his speech he also shared with the students his experience of protest at Anand Parbat area where a bus allegedly tried to run him over.

The crowd of Delhi University is always appreciated whether for lifestyle or for enjoying the yearly fests that are being organized on grand scales. This time also crowd present at the stadium enjoyed to their heart’s contentment and gave a warm reception to the AAP Ministers. “I am here to see Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Moreover, it is a great opportunity to enjoy so many Bollywood singers under the same roof,” Ankush from a Delhi University College said.

Earlier in the month of August Delhi Government announced Delhi Chief Minister’s Super Talented Children Scholarship Scheme. In the scholarship scheme the most talented students studying in science stream of Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya and 54 Model Delhi Government Schools will be selected. 250 students of Class 11 and 150 students from class 12 will be selected who will then be offered free professional coaching by Vidyamandir, FIITJEE and Aakash so as to crack the entrance Exams and seek admission in some of the renowned Engineering and Medical institutions of the nation

Once the programme and scheme was launched the questions bombard upon the Aam Aadmi Party: That from where the finances came to organize the Grand level Function. Over this the reply given by the organiser of the event AAP said, “no celebrity was paid for their performance and there was not violation of Lyngdoh Committee recommendations.”
