Delhi CET 2017, the common entrance test for admission to polytechnic colleges in the state will be held on May 27 and May 28, the Department of Training and Technical Education notified.
The CET Delhi exam; also known as Delhi Polytechnic entrance exam is a state level exam that is organised by the Department of Training and Technical education. The students who are seeking admission in full time diploma programmes in polytechnic can apply for this common entrance test that offers engineering and non-engineering courses in various institutions in Delhi. The important dates for the application form and the syllabus that needs to be followed to crack the entrance have been out on the official website where one can view the information brochure. The events and the dates are given along and one can go through them to understand the entire schedule provided.
The application forms will be available from 20th March, 2017 and the last date of submission would be 20th April, 2017. The submissions would be allowed till 5:00 P.M on the last date of the application submission. Once the application submission procedure is over, one can go to the official website and download the Admit Card. However, it is to be noted that the admit cards could be downloaded in the last week of May, 2017.
The dates for the exam have been divided and now the exams would be held on two different dates. It is on 27th May, 2017 that Paper 2, 3, and 5 would be held. Paper 1 and 4 have been scheduled to be held on 28th May, 2017. The results would be shorts declared after the exams on 16th June 2017. The time set for the declaration of results on that day is 4:00 P.M. on the website. Once the results are declared, the counselling would commence shortly after that.
The candidates can apply for the exam via online process through the official website of the authority. The application fee is Rs 400 and an addition Rs 18 would be charged as well. There is no refund for the application form. And the fee payment can only be done through online mode either by credit/debit card/e-wallet/net banking or through challan in any branch of Corporation Bank in India. The printed application submission is not required.
The qualification criterion is similar to what was followed before. The candidate should be an Indian National or a sponsored candidate. The students should have scored a minimum 35% in Science, Mathematics and English subjects. The candidates who are waiting for their result in 2017 are also eligible.
