The examination of CTET will held on 18th September 2016 and application forms can be submitted by July 18 on ctet.nic.in, report.
CBSE has rolled out the notification for 10th edition of CTET, which will be held on September 18, 2016. Interested candidates are advised to go through the official notice of CTET September 2016 as the online application process would conclude on July 18, 2016. CTET is being conducted in accordance with the guidelines of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which mandates TET qualification for a person to be appointed as a teacher.
The HRD Ministry has entrusted responsibility of conducting CTET to Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, which conducts the test twice in a year. Around 7 to 8 lakh candidates take the test as the teaching profession keeps in trend.
All the information including elgibility criteria, instructions along with online application form have been made available at the official web portal ctet.nic.in as the application form process started from June 22. It is advised to all the applicants to provide their own mobile number and e-mail ID while submitting the CTET application form as they will be able to receive CTET related alerts.
CTET qualified candidates will be able to apply for teacher posts in Centre-run schools that includes Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalas, Central Tibetan Schools and others. The CTET score is also accepted in schools under the administrative control of Union Territories (Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi). In addition to these, CTET qualified candidates will also be eligible for appointment as a teacher in unaided private schools which consider CTET qualification along with those state-run schools where the TET is not conducted by respective state government.
CTET September 2016 application process will end on July 18 and the registered applicants will have one more day, i.e. till July 19 (3.30 PM) to deposit their test fee. CBSE will provide the chance to all applicants for corrections in their submitted application forms from July 20 to 25. The test wil be conducted on September 18, for which the admit cards will be issued online on August 17. CBSE has notified to announce the results of CTET by second week of November.
CTET will be divided into two papers; Paper 1 for a person who intends to be a teacher for Class 1 to 5 while Paper 2 is for a person who intends to be a teacher for Class 6 to 8. Those applicants who intend to be a teacher for both levels, can take both the papers. CTET will be of 2 hours 30 minutes duration, with Paper 2 to be conducted in first shift from 9.30 AM to 12 Noon while Paper 2 in second shift from 2 PM to 4.30 PM. Both the papers will be of maximum marks 150, with each question carrying 1 mark. All the question will be objective type, with four alternatives out of which one will be correct. There will be no negative marking in CTET, as CBSE has mentioned.
