The result of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2016 for the exam held on September 18 is expected to be declared in November starting since the answer key has been released officially. CBSE has uploaded CTET answer key 2016 for both paper 1 and paper 2 on the official website www.ctet.nic.in along with candidates’ OMR sheet. The board has also allowed the candidates to challenge the answer key and OMR sheet between October 15 to October 19, midnight.
CTET this year was held on September 18, 2016 which was taken by 6.53 lakh candidates across 851 test venues set up by the board. Both paper 1 and 2 were held on the same day. CTET paper 2 was conducted in the morning shift on 18th September and paper 1 was held in afternoon shift. Although the unofficial answer keys had been available since the holding of the exam, the official keys were published today on October 15th.
In a public notice issued here on the evening of 14th October, CBSE said that it will display the images of OMR Sheets of the candidates who had appeared for CTET Sept 2016 conducted on 18 Sept along with the answer key to ensure transparency in examination process. “It is notified that the candidates can check and download the scanned images of their OMR sheets and answer keys prepared by CBSE from CTET website i.e., www.ctet.nic.in from 15 October to 19 October through login window.” Candidates willing to challenge the OMR sheets and answer keys can do so by following the prescribed method at CTET website.
Now that the Board has uploaded the answer keys and OMR sheets, the objections are called by 19th October. Given that it will take around 1-2 weeks more for Board to sort out the objections, the candidates can expect their results by the end of this month or in the first fortnight of November.
CTET result Sept 2016 will be declared on the official website and is expected in two weeks’ time. The exact date remains to be notified by CBSE in the notice but will become clear in due time. We’ll update here once we have more.
