Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka or simply COMEDK is currently holding the merit based admissions to its member institutions and as per the schedule, COMEDK mock allotment will be published today on 21st June. Under COMEDK counselling 2017 for engineering admissions, the registrations were invited from qualified candidates from June 12. The candidates had to register themselves, pay the fee and exercise the option entry up to 20th June and now mock allotment results will be declared today.
COMEDK had earlier updated the seat matrix on 15th June, as per which there are 17,831 seats in Non-Minority Institutions and 336 seats in Minority Institutions under Seat Allotment Round 1. The seat matrix, thus updated by COMEDK reveals the indicative number of engineering undergraduate seats for being filled through seat selection process of COMEDK. There are some 138 engineering colleges offering admissions under COMEDK 2017 counselling.
The engineering entrance test – COMEDK UGET 2017 was conducted as an online test on May 14 and the results were declared on May 27. The candidates were awarded COMEDK ranks on the basis of performance in the entrance test and now the counselling is underway for rank-based admissions. COMEDK has been authorized by Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) to conduct online centralized single window counselling (seat selection process) for the academic session 2017-18.
The COMEDK counselling 2017 notification was released on 12th June and the online registration facility opened at 12 noon on the same day. The applicants had to pay the fee and provide the options of Colleges and Courses in the order of preference. COMEDK counselling allows the applicants to enter as many choices as they prefer. As the option entry closed on Tuesday, mock allotment will be carried out based on the real data provided by the candidates during option entry.
The allotment status will be made available in COMEDK applicant login of individual candidates, from where they can get to know their chances of getting allotted their preferred seat. The mock seat allotment is being made so that the candidates can make changes in the options (if they wish to) before actually getting allotted a seat. COMEDK mock allotment result will be out at 7 pm and the candidates will be able to change/ modify the options from 8 pm onwards. The option changing or freezing will close at 12 noon on 23rd June.
The mock results/ allotments are indicative results and candidates can change, add, delete or reorder options – course wise and college wise – until last date of option entry for Round 1. Based on the modified option entry, the real allotment of seats will be made and the candidate’s choices will be frozen. The allotments are made on the basis of rank, preference of seats and availability of seats. COMEDK will publish first round real allotment results on 25th June.
