On September 4, 2015 Chief Minister of National Capital of India, Arvind Kejriwal said ‘Delhi’s education model will be the best in the country’ as his team is toiling hard day and night to develop the education sector of Delhi in the best possible ways.
The Chief Minister also added, “The Government of Delhi is fully committed towards the improvement of education in the state. We will make Delhi’s education model as the best in the country.” Further he said, “We will try our best so that we can improve the system.”
Kejriwal also thanked the President of India Pranab Mukherjee for accepting the proposal to teach the students and agreeing to the entire things laid down in the memorandum. “Thank you for the initiative President Mukherjee, you have increased the stature of teachers today,” said Kejriwal. Honourable President Pranab Mukherjee took classes on teachers’ day interacting with children.
While appreciating the hard work that is being put by his government so that education is received by all the citizens of the Delhi region he said that the budget for the education in the present financial year has been increased. As per the reports, Kejriwal was of the view, “We have doubled the budget. This shows the commitment of this government towards the education.”
While addressing the audiences at the ceremony he also laid emphasis on the fact that the availability of teachers have become scarce due to the implementation of English education system
At the time when Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet is busy developing ‘Delhi’s education model the best in the country’, HRD Ministry is planning to launch New education Policy towards the end of this year or in the beginning of the new year and has asked suggestions on NEP from CBSE students and teachers to improve. The announcement was made by the Union Minister of HRD Smriti Irani while addressing the gathering at Teacher’s Day Celebration award Distribution Ceremony.
She said, “CBSE should also be involved in drafting the new national education policy and should ask the students and teachers about their views, the inputs of which should be collected by November 15.”
During the last few days there were some other few promises which were made by the Delhi State Government to the students of Delhi from launching ‘higher education Loan scheme‘ to availing 1 lakh jobs and free wi-fi also.
The higher education load scheme is poised to be launched on 8th September 2015 and under the scheme, any student can get a loan of Rs. 10 lakh from the Delhi Government without any guarantee.
Free Wi-Fi in all the colleges of Delhi so that Delhi becomes the first free wi-fi city throughout the nation. One lakh new job opportunities will be available within the year for students.
