CG TET 2016 has been conducted on July 17 (Sunday) across 27 cities of Chhattisgarh State. Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (Vyavasayik Pareeksha Mandal) had organised the test on the behalf of Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education and as per the guidelines laid down by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). This is the third such test in the State. CG TET 2016 was conducted in two shifts; first shift from 9.15 AM to 11.45 AM, followed by the second shift from 2.15 PM to 4.45 PM and around 1.25 lakh candidates have taken the test.
TET is conducted to determine the eligibility of a candidate for appointment as a teacher. CGTET 2016 applies for candidates seeking mandatory certification for teaching at Primary (Class 1 to 5) and Upper Primary level (Class 6 to 8). The test for both levels was conducted in different shifts. Both the papers consisted of 150 multiple-choice questions based on the syllabus prescribed by CG VYAPAM. Each question carried one mark while there is no negative marking in the test.
CGVYAPAM would now prepare the model answer key of CGTET 2016, it is expected that the answer key will be released within this week at the official site cgvyapam.choice.gov.in. The candidates will then be given 7-10 days time to submit the objections, all the objections would have to send to official email id – firstname.lastname@example.org. The final answer keys will then be published on the official site and the result would be announced in one month.
Candidates are required to score minimum 60 percent marks to be declared qualified, the qualifying marks for reserved category candidates are 50 percent.
