CET 2016: KCET 2nd round seat allotment released @ kea,kar.nic.in

KEA CET 2016: KCET seat allotment 2016 results for second round have been released online. The details of allotment are available at kea.kar.nic.in now, a day before scheduled release.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has updated the link for CET Second Round allotment result at its official site kea.kar.nic.in. Making changes in the earlier mentioned schedule, KEA official site is hosting the link for Second Round allotment results (Karnataka CET 2016), the students can check CET allotment result using their CET roll number. Earlier, KCET Second allotment result was fixed to be announced on July 18.

cet second allotmentThe schedule released on July 13 mentioned that option entry for second round would be done from July 14 to July 17 (1 PM). However, later the option entry was decided to be closed at 10 PM on July 16, followed by allotment result publication on July 18.

A press released was also issued by KEA in this regard, that mentions that the option entry is being closed on 16 July to allow the candidates to choose between the engineering seats obtained under the second round of CET and Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) seats selected in the first round. Students were demanding the changes in the CET counselling schedule as the last date to surrender seats of COMEDK is July 17.

Candidates were only allowed to enter options for the newly added colleges/seats and alter preferences of earlier entered options in the second round option entry. The seats under Choice 3 & 4 after the conclusion of the first round, were included in the seat matrix thus released for the second round. School of Planning and Architecture, University of Mysore was also added in the second round.

Candidates can now check their allotment status through the official site and decide if they should surrender the seat of COMEDK (if allotted) and take admission through CET counselling or not.
