The first cut off list for admission to CCS University (CCSU) in 2016 will be declared today on June 28, as confirmed by officials. Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) admissions are being taken for the session poised to start this July-August.
CCS University has completed the online application process for admissions in the academic session 2016-17 and is going to release the first merit list / cut off on June 28. The University received over 2.5 lakh applications for undergraduate regular courses like B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Physical Education) offered in 65 government and aided colleges.
CCSU spokesperson Vimala Yerramilli informed that the university will release first merit list on June 28 and the admission process would commence from the same day. A total of 2,54,983 applications have been filled, wherein most applicants belong to Meerut district. 78,210 applications came from Meerut, followed by 49,480 from Ghaziabad. Other districts follow with 35,130 registrations from Saharanpur, 26,371 from Bulandshahr, 23,008 from Muzaffarnagar, 12,811 from Baghpat, 11,715 from Hapur. 10,380 from Gautam Budh Nagar and 7,877 from Shamli.
The CCS University is conducting all the admission process through online mode and hence the applicants were required to register through the official website www.ccsuniversity.ac.in. The applicants were given a chance for corrections in their particulars by June 27 as the first merit list is scheduled to be published on June 28.
CCS University has also notified that if a student does not secure admission in the allotted seat, he/she will not get a chance for reconsideration. However, he/she can later get admission through open merit if the seats remain vacant.
Renamed after former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, CCS University was established in the year 1965 and is touted as the biggest university of West Uttar Pradesh. Formerly known as Meerut University, CCSU has five faculties with 22 UGC sponsored and 35 self-financed courses being run in its campus. Currently, over 250 professional institutions, 109 colleges, and 1 constituent college are affiliated to the University.
