CBSE UGC NET answer key 2016 released for few subjects: unofficial version

CBSE conducted the examination of UGC NET 2016 on 10th July at more than 1000 places across 88 cities. The official version of UGC NET answer key July 2016 will be released in the last week of August and results are expected to be out after around 2 months. However, until the time official answer keys arrive, aspirants who took the NET exam can take help of the unofficial version of NET answer key provided online by several forums/ sites.

For one, this source here at cbseugcnetforum.in has availed the answer keys for few subjects of paper I, II & II such as for Computer Science and Applications, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, Law, History among others. Candidates should note that these are unofficial answer keys and official keys of UGC NET July 2016 exam will be published by CBSE in August.

CBSE holds NET exam to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship or both in Indian colleges and Universities. The National eligibility test (NET) is conducted twice a year, once in December and once in June/July.cbse ugc net exam 2016

Amid curfew, the exam was postponed in Srinagar and new dates haven’t been notified by CBSE.

Reports are that over 7.5 lakh candidates wrote the NET exam which covers 83 subjects in total. A total of 185 questions were asked combined in all three papers and candidates had to answer any 175 of them. Each correct answer will carry 2 marks. The candidates will be allotted marks out of maximum 350.

Although the final marks will be displayed at the time of results announcement, the candidates can still get a fair idea of their marks by comparing the answers (which they marked in the exam) to the correct answers provided in official keys. The unofficial answer keys also carry a fine accuracy rate, though are not final.

The results of CBSE NET/ UGC NET are prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in written examination. A separate merit list is prepared from each category and subject containing the names of qualified candidates. The top 15% candidates in each category and subject are declared qualified in NET exam.

In February, CBSE had released the NET exam keys after nearly 5 weeks, so this time too, candidates can expect within the same time frame. Being one of the largest written examination with most number of subjects for an eligibility test, it takes time for authorities to release the answer keys and OMR sheets online.
