The answer keys for all subjects of UGC NET or CBSE NET July 2016 examination along with the scanned images of the OMR answer sheets of the candidates with their recorded responses. UGC NET answer key will be displayed at cbsenet.nic.in from September 2nd to September 9th.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) twice a year on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC). This time, the written test was held on 10 July nationwide and on 28 August in Srinagar, not in June when it’s traditionally conducted. The question paper and answer keys of both the examinations have been displayed at official website for about a week. So, the candidates have to verify the answer keys according to the date of examination on which they have appeared. The candidates are advised to take print of the images of OMR sheets, recorded response, answer keys and challenges submitted by them for future references.
CBSE has also allowed the candidates to challenge the recorded responses if these differ from the ones they had marked in the examination on the OMR sheet. If the candidates wish to challenge the recorded responses and answer keys, they can do so by applying online on cbsenet.nic.in and by paying a fees of Rs 1000/- per recorded response challenged. The fees can be paid through credit card/debit card or e-challan within the stipulated time i.e., before September 9th. The process is same for challenging the answer keys where candidates have to apply online and pay a fee of Rs 1000/- per question.
Both the fees are non-refundable. However, if the candidate’s claim turns out to be true in case of challenged scanned response, his/her fee will be refunded and the correction will be done to their OMR sheet’s response. In case of answer keys, if candidate’s challenge is accepted by the board and any mistake is noticed by the subject experts in the answer key, a policy decision will be notified in the newspapers and fee will be refunded to the candidates.
To check you answer keys and to challenge the scanned response on OMR sheet or answer key itself, candidates can visit www.cbsenet.nic.in and do so before 9th September 2016. Although the unofficial answer keys were already released by few online sources, but now the officials keys are out. And it’s for the first time that UGC is releasing scanned response of the OMR sheet.
The result of UGC NET or CBSE NET 2016 is expected to be released in October. We’ll update here when we’ve more on the topic.
