1st update 2 pm:
CBSE 10th result 2016 was going to be declared at 2 pm today, but the board released the results an hour earlier at around 1pm. Amid the heavy traffic caused by simultaneous visitation by lakhs of candidates, cbseresults.nic.in, the official website to check results, got down. Even CBSE’s public portal www.cbse.nic.in stopped responding. As it is, a total of nearly 15 lakh candidates were glued to the internet to see how they fared in their 10th board exams.
www.cbseresults.nic.in has been down now for about half an hour. Students have become restless since most of them aren’t able to check their results. Those who did within few minutes of results being online, were able to get marks, others are waiting.

As comes this exclusive report, CBSE result 2016 for class 10 exams is finally getting declared today on 28th May at 2pm. cbseresults.nic.in the official portal will be publishing CBSE 10th result 2016 today for academic year of 2015-16. CBSE will release results for all of it’s regions at once today.
It’s been crucial few weeks for some 14.9 lakh students as they waited for CBSE to announce the results of class 10 board examinations. With 12th class results already announced, there had been several days of speculations about the date of Class 10 results declaration. But as of the exclusive report, the CBSE Class 10 result is confirmed to be announced today, that is, on May 30. Earlier reports put the expected date at three days ahead on May 27, instead of the officially fixed date May 30. But still, the results are coming out 2 days ahead.
A total of 14,99,122 students appeared in the Class 10 board examinations conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education between March 1 to March 28. With around 2 months since the last exam, students have started feeling exhausted waiting for their results as they were constantly being misguided by the expected dates for result. The 10th class board exams play a crucial role in a student’s life as he/she is to choose a specific field to study further from current choices of Science, Commerce, Arts/Humanities streams.
The results would be available as and then at the official web portal cbseresults.nic.in with two options; one for students to directly check their result and another for school authorities to get the results of their school. One can check CBSE Class 10 result using roll number and school code printed at the admit card.
Going by the numbers, 8,92,685 boys registered for this year board exams while girls’ registration reached the mark of 6,06,437. The overall pass percentage in CBSE Class 10 exams was recorded as 98.87 last year with a slight increment from then previous year.
There are total 17447 schools affiliated with CBSE, including around 200 schools in 23 countries. Some major schools include Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalayas are affiliated by CBSE along with several government/aided schools and private unaided schools. CBSE fulfills its objective of regulating education through its regional offices at Allahabad, Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Panchkula, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram.
