aipmt re test on 25 julySupreme Court had finally approved the request of CBSE seeking permission for extending the time of re-conducting the exam. The vacation bench of justices R.K.Agarwal and Abhay Manohar Sapre had given such statements after Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi on behalf of the council strongly opposed the concept of re-exam in such a short span of time. In his statement Rohatgi also mentioned that normally re-conducting an exam is seven month’s process, whereas the court in regard to this respective statement observes, past everything was done in one month, We are living in an era of technology and everything is possible now.

He said that there was a shortage of teachers as the summer vacation was still continuing and many were on leave. According to him, there are 1050 examination centers all over the country for which the Board is in demand of invigilators and security forces that would be useful to re-conduct the AIPMT exam 2015 free from any disturbances. Therefore, the court had also invited various such institutions to render assistance to CBSE in order to conduct the re-test. The apex court in its judgment clearly mentioned any means to make the exam futile will “leave merit a casualty and generate frustration among students.”

The council was instructed by the court to re-conduct the exam and publish the result by August 17. Henceforth, the notice was issued by CBSE to the re-exam candidates, which stated that the roll numbers, examination centres, and other important updates will be announced at the earliest. This information when ready would be posted on the official website or would be sent through e-mail and sms to the respective candidates.

CBSE also revealed that students need not to undergo any kind of form filling, their existing documents will be preferred at the examination centres. They had also decided to schedule the exam for 25 July.
