CBSE CTET admit card 2016: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the tenth edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2016 on September 18. Many aspirants have set their sights on Wednesday, that’s when CTET admit card 2016 will be issued.
CTET 2016: Around 7-8 lakh candidates are expected to take the test. The application window was closed on July 18 and as the exam is scheduled for next month, the Board would release CTET admit card on August 17 at its official site www.ctet.nic.in.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the CTET on the behalf of HRD Ministry and the qualified candidates are declared eligible to apply for teacher posts in Centre-run schools. These schools include Knedriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, Central Tibetan Schools and other schools un the administrative control of Union Territories. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) had mandated TET qualification for teacher recruitment across the country to keep the quality standards in check.
The 10th edition of the CTET was notified earlier this year and the applications from interested candidates were invited from June 22 to July 18. As the application process concluded, CBSE also provided one-time opportunity to the applicants for online corrections in the particulars from July 20 to 25. The test aims to determine the eligibility of a person to be appointed as a teacher for Classes I to VIII.
CTET September 2016 would be conducted in two shifts on a single day. The test is divided into two papers; Paper 1 for Classes I to V and Paper 2 for Classes VI to VIII. The detailed syllabus and exam pattern is available at official site ctet.nic.in. CTET Paper 2 timings will be from 9.30 am to 12 noon and Paper 1 from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm.
All the candidates will have to reach their respective test venues at 8 AM for first shift paper and their admit cards will be checked from 9 am to 9.15 am. The answer sheets will be distributed from 9.15 am onward and the test would commence at 9.30 am. The entries for second shift paper would start at 12.30 pm. The candidates will be required to carry blue/black ball pen and their respective admit card with one valid ID proof at the time of test.
