The Central Board of Secondary Education has proclaimed the dates for compartment examination for Class 12 and improvement of performance (IOP) for Class 10. The exam will be conducted on 16th of July 2015.
The students who have to appear for the examination are required to fill in the forms on the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education – cbse.nic.in. As many as 97,404 students of Class 12 would be sitting for the compartment examinations and as many as 41,812 students of Class 10 would appear for the IOP.
The receipt for the compartment/ IOP form has to be put forward by 22nd of June 2015. If students surpass the date, they can send the receipt of forms with a late fee of Rs 10/- per day by 30th June 2015.
The students belonging to Class 10 and Class 12 will be required to pay a fee of Rs 200/- for one supplementary/ compartment subject.

After filling the form, the students should draw a Demand Draft of the necessary fee in favor of “Secretary CBSE” payable at the concerned Regional Office. Candidates are needed to log in to the CBSE website and enter the Roll Number, School Code and Centre Number (as given on the admit card) and click on ‘Proceed.’
The results for the compartment students of Class 12 will be declared on 6th of August whereas, Class 10 students appearing for the IOP can be expecting their results on 13th August 2015.
CBSE will soon release a schedule for the first chance of compartment examinations to be held in the month of July/August. Last year, the first chance compartmental examination was held on 16th of July.
The Answer Books would be distributed to the candidates between 10.00 – 10.15 A.M. during which the candidates would write their particulars on the Answer book and the same shall be checked and signed by the Assn. Supdt. (s). The Question Paper will be distributed at 10.15 A.M. From 10.15-10.30 A.M. (15 Minutes Extra) die students would read the Question Paper and plan proper strategy to write the answers. At 10.30 A.M.
In addition to theory Examination, there will also be practical examination in respect of those candidates who have failed in practical in a subject involving practical.
Candidates appearing for the compartment examination in a subject involving practical work are required to appear in theory only in case they have passed in practical.
The practical examination will be held, unless otherwise notified, at the centre of theory examination within a week after the theory examination is over.
The duration of practical examination in Physical Education and Music will be at the discretion of the examiner. The result of the examination is likely to be declared in the second week of August, 2009. This is only a probable date for declaration of the result. No enquiries about the actual date of declaration of the result will be attended to.
