Admissions in IIM based on CAT Score
Based on the CAT 2016 percentile, the candidates are eligible for admission in IIMs. The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of respective IIMs. Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. The selection process may include Written ability test, group discussion, and personal interviews.
Admission in B-Schools other than IIMs
While the CAT exam is the sole entrance examination for admission in IIMs, many B-Schools across the country accept CAT score as the valid criteria for shortlisting deserving candidates. As the seats across IIMs are limited, many aspirants, despite having good scores, can not manage to get into the prestigious institution for their desired course. While the same opportunity could be available in many other reputed B-Schools, the integration of CAT scores in the admission process has resulted in saving much time. The candidates are often offered direct admission based on the CAT scores/ percentile.
The candidates can register for admission at the respective B-Schools websites.
