BSTC exam is a compulsory entrance examination for admissions in the course being offered at all the colleges across the State. Last year, the test was conducted by the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University on May 8 and the results were announced in a record 25 days (on 2nd June). Going by that schedule, the results of BSTC 2017 exam should be announced in this week only.
The BSTC 2017 pre-exam has been conducted for facilitating admissions in around 16 thousand seats in 32 government and 251 private colleges offering D.El.Ed. course. The applications for the test were submitted from February 14 to March 28, and as per the reports, over 5 lakh students had registered for the exam. While the admit cards for the test were scheduled to be available from April 23, in a surprising move, the University issued them two days ago. The same is being expected by the students in the case of results, we are keeping a close watch on the results and will provide more updates here.
UoK will announce the BSTC 2017 result along with the merit list awarding the merit position to the students. All the admissions will be done on merit basis drawn out of the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam as per the BSTC results. The scorecards will not be dispatched to any candidate, hence they will have to take the printout of the scorecard from the official website only.
The admission/ counselling process is proposed to be held in two rounds, however, the third round will be conducted if more than 2 percent seats remain vacant after the conclusion of the second round of counselling. The candidates will be given the opportunity to select the seat/ college combination based on the BSTC marks and based on the choices, the allotment of seats will be done. Thee seats in D.El.Ed. course will be filled through upward movement in each round.
