BSNL put an end to all the speculations and doubts amongst the candidates who had appeared for the JE (erstwhile TTA) exam held in September by announcing the BSNL TTA result 2016 at its official web portal externalbsnlexam.com on November 22. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced JE-TTA result 2016 for the exam held between September 25 to 29. BSNL TTA JE result 2016 and BSNL JE TTA merit list for each of the regions can now be accessed on the official website (www.externalbsnlexam.com). The final answer key is also available at the website now.
Update November 22nd, 2:20 PM: It was doubtful yesterday whether or not the BSNL TTA JE result 2016/merit list published on the SNEA website is official but is officially confirmed now since the same list of write-up has been uploaded on externalbsnlexam.com today.
From November 21, 2016: In a sudden move, BSNL TTA JE result 2016 has been announced today. While the BSNL JE result stays announced, the candidates are not in a condition to believe in it. As the results pdf has been put up on the employees union web portal, many candidates are still waiting for the official confirmation on externalbsnlexam.com. We are also keeping close watch on the developments and will surely update the info at this page.
One of the employees portal – Sanchar Nigam Executives’ Association (sneaindia.com) has put up a forwarding letter and a merit list comprising of the names of qualified candidates along with their marks. The forwarding letter is undersigned by Jt GM (Recruitment) B K Sinha and Asst general manager (Recruitment) K. D. Das, as the notice displays here.
A total of 2700 posts were notified to be filled under the recruitment notification 7-1/2016 and the merit list contains the details of the same number of candidates which it claims to have qualified the written exam. The number of candidates selected from each circle are as follows:

The written exam (online) of BSNL TTA was conducted from September 25 to 29 and the answer keys were released in October. As soon as the answer keys were released, many candidates complained of the wrong answers in it. Soon after, the facility of submitting the objections was provided. However, as the BSNL TTA JE exam result has been announced now, the candidates are complaining that the results are based on the wrong answer key and the authorities have not used final (corrected) answer key to prepare the result.
BSNL JE exam consisted of three parts : General Ability (20 marks), Basic Engineering (90 marks) and Specialization (90 marks). The candidates are required to score at least 30 percent in each part and 40 percent in aggregate. The minimum qualifying marks for reserved category candidates are 20 percent in each part and 33 percent in aggregate.
As per the forwarding letter, a circle-wise list of provisionally selected candidates has been released. “The candidates will be given first posting in the rural areas of the circle for the minimum period of five years and the concerned circles will now issue offer of appointment to the provisionally selected candidates,” the letter says.
