For the first time ever, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will conduct board exams of biggest level in the state’s history. In the upcoming Board examinations of Class 10 and Class 12 somewhere around 30.2 lakh candidates are expected to appear. Till date for both the classes, a total of 30.08 lakh forms have been filled. With the late fee charge, still two days are left to fill the examination form for Class 10.
For Class 12 board examinations 2017, total of 12,56,507 candidates have filled the examination form. Moreover the candidates who could not make last year in the board examinations have also filled the form. Their number is 2.33 lakh. The number of students taking 12 class board exams this year has increased by more than a lakh as compared to 2016.
The students of class 10 can fill the form online with a late fee till January 19, 2017. So far, 17,51,586 students have filled the form. Out of the total, 13,38,070 applications are from regular and privately enrolled students. Nearly 4.13 lakh students are the ones who had appeared previous year too. In 2016, around 15 lakh had written the class 10 board exams in Bihar and the results witnessed failure of 8.5 lakh students, out of which 1.56 lakh also appeared for the compartment exams.
So that there occurs no problem and all the examinations go on smoothly, the board has already started doing the preparations. For the same the letters are being sent to DEO and officers.
For the first time, Bihar School Examination Board will evaluate the copies digitally. On the basis of the form filled, it has been assumed that for the 10th class around 1 crore and for inter around 60 lakh copies will be there. Evaluating them is in itself a challenging task. All teachers will be trained for the same. This is to inform that last year too even for the compartment exam, the copies were evaluated digitally. But, the evaluation of the copies might face hiccups, due to lack of teachers and the existing teachers are not efficient enough in computer.
