The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has announced the result of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2017 today. The announcement was made earlier today by the board and candidates may check their OTET result 2017 at India Results (BSE Odisha’s official partner site). The official website of the board is www.bseodisha.ac.in.
BSE Odisha had released the notification of OTET 017 (1st) on August 19 and the online applications for Odisha TET exam were submitted from August 23 to September 6. As per the schedule, OTET 2017 was conducted on September 25. The TET exam was conducted as two papers; Paper 1 for Classes I to V and Paper 2 for Classes VI to VIII.
The Education Board issued a notice on October 6 and the answer keys were released on October 7. The Board invited the candidates to check the answer keys and submit online challenges against it. The deadline to submit challenges was October 15. As per the process, the challenges submitted by the candidates were to be presented to the experts’ committee. The Committee will prepare the final answer key after detailed analysis of submitted responses. If the challenge is accepted by the Board, the amount paid by the candidates will be refunded in full.
OTET result is processed on the basis of the final answer keys as decided by the Committee. The final answer keys will also be released by the Board. Out of maximum 150 marks in the exam (each paper), the candidates who obtain 60% (90 marks) or more will be declared TET pass. The minimum qualifying marks (cut-off marks) for SC, ST, SEBC, OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates are 50%. The TET scores obtained by the qualified candidates will be given weightage in the recruitment process.
