Bank of Baroda BOB PO admit cards 2016 released: exam on Sept 25

The Bank of Baroda (BOB) has released the admit cards for recruitment to it’s Probationary Officer (PO) exam 2016. The BOB PO admit card were issued yesterday for the written examination that will be conducted on September 25th. Bank of Baroda had issued a notification back in August for recruiting 400 probationary officers in Junior management grade/ scale I through its BMSB selection exercise 2016-17.

Comparatively, the number of candidates opting Bank of Baroda’s PO exam lesser but only due to the lesser number of vacancies and also the fact that, SBI and IBPS exams hold more appeal among aspirants. Even though, preliminary reports are that over 3 lakh candidates have applied for this recruitment. Aspirants have been waiting for Bank of Baroda (BOB) PO admit card 2016/ call letters since the application submission process ended.

The admit cards for BOB PO 2016 examination can be downloaded from the official website ( The admit cards will remain available to candidates till September 25th. BOB has made clear that the admit cards/ call letters won’t be dispatched and are required to be generated online from its website.

As far as the breakup of vacancies go, 202 posts are for unreserved category aspirants, 108 for Other Backward Classes, 60 for SC and 30 posts for ST.

The bank looks to impart candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge required in banking sector through a 9 month post-graduate certificate in banking and finance course in Baroda Manipal School of Banking (BMSB). The candidates will be awarded certificates after the completion of the course and will be appointed as Probationary Officers in Bank of Baroda.

However, before getting there, candidates have to go through a selection phase which consists of clearing the written and online examination (objective + descriptive) followed by Psychometric assessment, group discussion and interview session. Here is the pattern of examination.

According to the information brochure, candidates will have to secure a minimum score in each test to qualify for further rounds of selection. BOB has also kept the provision of negative marking in the online test in which, 1/4th marks would be deducted (against total marks assigned to that question) for each wrong answer.
