Bihar Police will be absorbing around 9,900 Constables in the Force this year and for the same, the recruitment has been notified. The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has been given the responsibility of conducting the recruitment drive, which released the advertisement 01/2017 on 29th July. As announced in the notification, the online application process for Bihar Police vacancy 2017 begun today.
The Central Selection Board has decided that the applicants should possess minimum 10+2 qualification and be of age between 18 and 25 years. The relaxation in age limit for reserved category candidates has also been given by the Board. The tentative number of vacancies of Constable is 9,900 and both male & female aspirants can apply for the Constable posts. The application fee for Bihar Police Constable vacancy 2017 is Rs. 112 for SC/ ST candidates, while it is Rs. 450 for others.
The application process for Bihar Police recruitment has been made completely online by the Board. To apply for Bihar Police Constable recruitment 2017, the applicants will have to first register themselves at the official portal csbc.bih.nic.in. Upon successful registration, the applicants will be required to pay the application fee before filling the application form. The online application form for Bihar Police Constable recruitment is divided in two parts, which the candidates are required to fill completely.
After submitting the application form online, the applicants will have to take the print out of filled application form and paste a recent colour photo at the specified place. The applicants will also have to put signature (in English and Hindi both) in the designated places. The next step is to scan the application form and upload it through the official website. The applicants should note that they will have to only upload the application form and they should not send the printed copy or any other document to the Selection Board.
As the online application process would end on August 30, the Selection Board will first scrutinize the applications and then the written exam will be organized for eligible applicants only. The Bihar Police Constable exam paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions, each question having 1 mark and the candidates will be given 2 hours to solve the paper. The Central Selection Board has fixed 30% marks (30 marks) as minimum qualifying marks in the written exam. Based on the minimum qualifying marks, the candidates will be shortlisted in 1:5 ratio for Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
The Physical Efficiency Test will also carry 100 marks and the selection to the posts of Constable will be entirely on the basis of performance of candidates in PET. The marks obtained by the candidate in written exam will not be considered for final selection. The PET will comprise of 50 marks for Running, 25 marks for Shot Put and 25 marks for High Jump.
The online application process for Bihar Police Constable recruitment 2017 will continue up to August 30 and can be filled at csbc.bih.nic.in.
