“The Chairman of BSEB said yesterday that the board exams would begin February 14 onward next year.”
In a major development for the students of Bihar Board, the schedule of annual examination for the academic year 2016-17 has been released. The students should gear up with the preparations as the annual examinations of Class 12 are going to start from February 14 next year. The Matric exam would start from March 1.
The Bihar School Education Board overlooks the secondary and senior secondary level education in the State. The Board has been facing flak from sections of the society for numerous attempts of cheating in past few years, following which the Board had also discontinued affiliation of several schools. BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore announced the schedule of Board exams and said that the Board has made visible changes in the whole process including answer sheets checking process. The steps have been taken to ensure that the whole examination process concludes without any glitch.
For the first time, BSEB has introduced bar coding system in the question booklets. Even the students would have to fill an OMR sheet before answering the question paper. The evaluation of answer sheets would also be done with the help of digital marking system. The students would be given additional 15 minutes time to read the question paper.
The online registration process for Intermediate examination would be done from October 13 to 15, while for Matric exam, the registrations would be done from October 14 to 17. The Board Chairman said that the students would have to input their mobile number, email id or aadhaar card number while filling the examination form so that the information about exam and admit card could be provided to them easily. However, this facility has not been made mandatory and the students would be able to fill the examination form without giving these details.
New Changes in Bihar Board Exams:
- All the process involving exams have been made online.
- Students would have to fill the examination form online within stipulated dates.
- Students would have to enter mobile number, email id, aadhaar card number in the examination form.
- Question papers would contain bar codes for the first time.
- Students would be given 15 minutes extra time to read the question paper.
- Evaluation of answer sheets would be done through digital evaluation system.
Apart from the annual examination, BSEB has also announced the dates for compartment exams. The Class 10 compartment exam would be conducted in three days from November 10 to 12, while Class 12 compartment exam would be conducted only on November 12.
