Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) 2017 has been conducted today by the BCECE Board. The entrance exam was taken today by thousands of students seeking admissions to various professional courses including engineering, pharmacy and other allied courses. BCECE 2017 exam was conducted as five papers, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture Science. The candidates had to attempt three papers only, depending on their qualification and as mentioned during the registration for the entrance exam. The details of subject papers and timings were indicated in the admit card issued in the first week of June. Below is the schedule followed for BCECE 2017 exam today:
- Physics – 9 am to 10.30 am
- Agriculture Science – 9 am to 10.30 am
- Chemistry – 11 am to 12.30 pm
- Mathematics – 2 pm to 3.30 pm
- Biology – 4 pm to 5.30 pm
The candidates were provided OMR sheets to mark the answers. Each subject paper comprised of 100 multiple choice questions. For each right answer, the candidates will be awarded 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. With the help of BCECE exam answer key, the candidates can match their answers and get an idea about the marks they will be scoring in the entrance exam. While it’s not sure that BCECE Board will publish the answer keys or not, many coaching institutes prepare their versions of the answer key/ solved paper. The candidates can use such answer keys, however, the authenticity of them can not be claimed by ExamsWatch.
Earlier, when the BCECE 2017 exam was notified, the Board had decided to hold the exam in two stages, with the Stage 1 exam scheduled to be held on April 16. For April 16 exam, the admit card release date was March 21 and just before the date, the Board notified that due to unavoidable reasons, admit card will not be issued from March 21 and next date will be intimated later on. Eventually, the Board forgot to provide any further update on the exam.
It was only after a month from Stage 1 exam date that the Board announced revised exam structure. The two-staged exam was converted into 1 stage and finally, the exam date was announced as 18th June.
As of today that BCECE 2017 exam has been conducted, the Board will further carry out the post-exam processes that includes the publication of results and merit list. BCECE Board will prepare three merit lists comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subject marks for PCM group, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject marks for PCB group and Chemistry, Biology and Agriculture Science subject marks for CBA group.
The merit lists thus prepared will be used for merit-based admission to engineering, pharmacy, BAMS, BHMS, BPT and paramedical graduate level courses. There are around 4000 seats in these courses to be filled by the BCECE qualified candidates.
