Bank of Baroda (BOB) brings a good news for banking aspirants to make a career as Probationary Officer (PO) through BMSB selection exercise 2016-17. The bank released an official notification for the course of Banking and Finance in Baroda Manipal School of Banking BMSB). This would be a nice opportunity for banking aspirants, as it is a guaranteed job opportunity with the certificate of Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and finance.
This course of Bank of Baroda consists of a period of nine months which is conducted by the Manipal University. After the completion of course, a candidate would be awarded Post Graduate certificate in Banking and Finance and he/she would be appointed as Probationary Officer in junior management grade/ scale-I. There will be also a 3-month on-job training. The fees for this course is 3.45 lakh inclusive of boarding, lodging, etc.
The number of intakes is 400 but this intake may vary as per the requirement of the bank. The selection of these students will be done by a written test followed by Psychometric Assessment, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.
The test will be conducted online on 25th September 2016 as per the latest official notification. This test will be comprised of two parts – Objective test and Descriptive Test. The objective test contains four sections namely – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (related to Banking Industry), and English language. Each section will contain 50 questions and each question will contain 1 mark. Thus a total of 200 questions will be in the test with a time limit of 2 hours.
For the descriptive part, a candidate would have to write an essay or letter. However, the descriptive part would not be entertained if candidates could not clear the cut off of objective part.
The date of application has started from 2nd August and will be continued till 21st August. Interested candidates can apply online at Bank of Baroda official site. The application for General/OBC candidates is of 600/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates it is of 100/-.
