In 2016, the AYUSH entrance exam in Uttar Pradesh for Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy colleges will be conducted on September 25. The Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) made the announcement which was much awaited by aspirants seeking admission to these courses. The test would be known as Combined Pre-AYUSH Test (CPAT 2016) and the official site for the examination processes is cpatup2016.org
Up until last year, the AYUSH exam in Uttar Pradesh was held under CPMT. However, this year with the cancellation of CPMT, that all changed as Ministry selected the historically prestigious Kashi Vidyapith to organise the AYUSH exam in 2016. When the admission to Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy courses were done under CPMT, the candidates with top ranks were facilitated admission in MBBS on priority while candidates with low ranks used to get BAMS seats. This issues, which also saw the daylight in court came to a resolve when state government decided to conduct separate test for these courses this year.
