Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will declare the result of it’s Higher Secondary (HS) examinations 2017 today on May 30, 2017 as per it’s official notification. AHSEC result 2017, Assam HS result for 12 (higher secondary) class will be published simultaneously for all streams, including Arts, Science and Commerce. AHSEC’s official website www.ahsec.nic.in will display the Higher Secondary results 2017 at the scheduled date and time and students will be able to access the results using their enrolment details. Students who appeared for the examination can check their results at the official website of the Council as soon as the HS result 2017 link has been activated. While Assam HS result 2017 declaration is scheduled for today, SEBA HSLC result 2017 will be out tomorrow, on May 31, 2017 at 10 am.

For this year, the Assam Higher Secondary Board Exams conducted by AHSEC began on February 20, 2017 and continued for a full month with the last paper being held on March 20, 2017. This year, about 2.5 lakh students appeared for the Assam HSSLC/Class 12 exams out of which a total of 1,94,069 students have appeared in the Arts stream while 37,350 in Science and 17,894 students in Commerce stream.

In 2016, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has announced the Higher Secondary (Class 12) results on June 2 at 10 am. Last year, AHSEC HS toppers were: Science: Ankur Jyoti Bora, Commerce: Rajneesh Bharadwaj and Arts: Rupsikha Kalita. Last year, the Council examination was in news when Physics and Biology question paper were leaked in February. AHSEC had to postponed Class 12 Biology examination since the leaked copies of the question paper were found circulating in some parts of the state and social media website.

Last year, AHSEC result was badly affected when 5,000 to 10,000 answer sheets were gutted in a major fire that happened in an evaluation centre in Jorhat in upper Assam on 3rd March.

Last year in the higher secondary exam, somewhere around 2,54,860 students took the exam in the Indian state of Assam.

  • ARTS – Total Number of students appeared in Arts stream were 1,90,899. Pass percentage was 79.92%. Students with first division were 23,795. Best performing district in the Indian state of Assam was Dhemaji with 94.76% students coming out with flying colors.
  • COMMERCE – Total Number of students appeared in Arts stream were 15,942. Pass percentage was 86.01%. Students with first division were 3,330. Best performing district in the Indian state of Assam was Dhemaji with 98.12% students coming out with flying colors.
  • SCIENCE – Total Number of students appeared in Arts stream were 33,822. Pass percentage was 90.06%. Students with first division were 19,397. Best performing district in the Indian state of Assam was Dhemaji with 95.89% students coming out with flying colors.
