Arunachal Pradesh Police Recruitment 2017 notified for 897 Constable posts

Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Police headquarters, Itanagar has released an advertisement for filling 897 posts of Constable. Arunachal Pradesh Constable recruitment 2017 has been notified for the recruitment of Constable (GD) Civil Police (Male/ Female) and Constable (Band/ Bugler) IRBN (only Male) in Arunachal Pradesh Police under 22 districts.

The name of the districts along with their number of vacant posts are Tawang (26 Posts); West Kameng, Bomdila (36); East Kameng, Seppa (55); Papumpare (Capital) Itanagar (57); Papumpare (Rural), Yupia (32); Lower Subansiri, Ziro (56); Kurung Kumey, Koloriang (34); Kra Dadi, Pah (36); Upper Subansiri, Dam (59); West Siang, Aalo (59); East Siang, Pasighat (40); Siang, Pangin (23); Upper Siang, Yingkiong (21); Dibang Valley, Anini (04); Lower Dibang Valley, Roing (20); Lohit, Tezu (14); Namsal (19); Anjaw, Hayuliang (11); Changlang (41); Tirap, Khonsa (33); Longding (41); and General candidates (Centre PTC B/Dewa) (180 posts).

To participate in the Arunachal Pradesh Police recruitment 2017, the applicants must have passed 10th Class (for General/APST) to be eligible for the posts of Constable (GD) Civil Police (Male/Female). In the case of Constable (Band/Bugler) IRBN (Male), the applicants must have passed 10th Class (for General/APST) and must have knowledge in playing Band/ Bugle.

Applicants in the age group of 17 to 21 years are eligible under Arunachal Pradesh Constable recruitment 2017 for Constable (GD) Civil Police (Male/Female) posts, 18 to 22 years for Constable (Band/Bugler) IRBN (Male) posts.

The application process for the recruitment began from 21st August and will continue till 30th September. The applicants can apply for both the posts in the same application form by mentioning the posts as per his/her preference. In order to apply for Arunachal Pradesh Police recruitment, the eligible applicants can send their application in the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of all the appropriate certificates along with 4 self-attested recent passport size photographs. The list of Documents are mentioned as following-

  1. Educational Qualification Certificates
  2. Proof age as per School Certificate / Birth Registration Certificate
  3. Caste/Tribe Certificate
  4. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
  5. Four recent passport size colour photographs (one affixed on the application form at the space provided and 03 (three) nos. separately enclosed in an envelope with self-signature on the backside).
  6. Self-addressed reply envelope affixed with postage stamp of Rs. 5/-

With the above-mentioned documents, the application fee that is required to pay by the applicant is Rs. 10/- for APST candidates & Rs. 40/- for General applicants enclosed with a Treasury challan in favour of Asstt Inspector General of Police (E), PHQ, Itanagar under Head of Account “0055” Police. The application can be sent either via post or in person at the SP office of respective recruitment centres.

The notification about the admit card will be released via email and through email/SMS/police website. For more details regarding the AP Police recruitment, the applicants shall visit the official website. The candidates for the post of Constable (Band / Bugler) IRBN (Male) who qualify the PST / PET will have to undergo a Trade Test, carrying 100 marks.

The applicants who qualify in Physical Standard Test will have to sit for a written test. The written examination will consist of objective type on OMR format. The minimum score for the qualification in written examination will be 33% in each subject and 45% in aggregate. As per the merit, there will an Interview round. The Merit list of the selected candidates will be prepared separately both the posts on the basis of overall marks (out of 340).
