February 21, 2017, 07: 50 AM Update: APSLPRB released the AP SI mains key 2017 on Monday evening for paper III and paper IV, as we had reported earlier in the day. The details of the APSLPRB SI answer keys have been uploaded on the official website (recruitment.appolice.gov.in).
The exam was conducted on February 18 (Saturday) and February 19 (Sunday), 2017. In a press note issued earlier, the recruitment board had said that a total of 35,428 candidates had qualified the PET/PMT/verification of certification rounds to appear for the mains examination.
The APSLPRB SI mains key 2017 is only out for paper 3 and paper 4 which were objective type. As for paper 1 & 2, they were descriptive type, so you know.
The current recruitment is underway for hiring to the following posts. A total of 707 posts on Sub-Inspector level cadres are to be filled through this recruitment process.

- Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (AR) (Men & Women)- 113 Posts
- Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (SAR CPL) (Men)- 9 Posts
- Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (APSP) (Men)- 209 Posts
- Deputy Jailor (Men)- 16 Posts
- Assistant Matron (Women)- 05 Posts in Prisons & Correctional Services Department.
The physical efficiency test (PET) and physical measurement test (PMT) were conducted from December 29th, 2016 to January 12th, 2017 at four cities i.e, Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Guntur & Kurnool.
The first phase of the recruitment, the preliminary test was conducted on November 27th at centres set up across the state for which 1,02,241 aspirants had appeared. Out of which, 10,166 were female and the rest were male candidates. Upon the declaration of results for prelims exam, only 52,153 qualified for the further proceedings of PET/PMT/verification of certificates.
Out of those 52,153 candidates, 44,078 appeared for the PET/PMT/verification of documents and only 35,428 qualified for mains exam. A total of 8,075 candidates remained absent in the PET/PMT/document verification process.
As per the present scenario, nearly 50 candidates will be vying for 1 post in the process.
The mains exam held on 18th February was organised in two sessions, from 10 AM to 01 PM and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. On February 19th, the exam had the same session timings. Overall, the APSLPRB SI mains exam consisted of 4 papers, 2 of which were descriptive type and 2 were objective type. The city of Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur and Kurnool hosted the mains examination.
With the publication of results for AP SI mains exam 2016-2017, the recruitment process would be completed. The results are expected within two weeks at the maximum. Candidates should keep track of the official website for any notice regarding the matter.
