APSET 2016 results announced on apset.net.in- Andhra University

The result of Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) 2016 have been declared today on October 19. The details of APSET result 2016 have been uploaded on apset.net.in by the Andhra University. The APSET results have been uploaded in the form of a merit list which contains the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

In a press note issued here today, Andhra University said that a total of 56,453 candidates had applied and 44,576 had actually appeared to take the test. APSET is conducted for 31 subjects and follows the pattern of NET exam. The answer keys were already issued last month by the Andhra University, which conducts SET in Andhra Pradesh on behalf of the State government.

Candidates may check their APSET 2016 results now on the official website (www.apset.net.in) or here. There is a certain pattern and qualification criteria for the declaration of APSET results on the basis of which the merit list is prepared.

First off, a candidates is required to obtain at least a minimum percentage of marks separately in paper 1, paper 2 and paper 3 to be considered qualified for the eligibility for Assistant Professor/ Lectureship. The minimum qualifying marks to attain is given in the image below.

Now, the candidates who will obtain minimum set marks, then a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise based on the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by the candidates.

Lastly, the top 15% candidates (for each subject and category) are declared APSET qualified and are issued the certificate. The list of roll numbers of candidates who have qualified APSET 2016 is given in the notification issued by the University today.
