APPSC group 3 results of panchayat secretary screening test 2017 are out at www.psc.ap.gov.in. Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has declared the results of it’s group 3 services panchayat secretary prelims examination that was conducted on April 23, 2017.
In it’s summary result report of screening test for APPSC Panchayat Secretary (grade-IV), the commission said that a total of 52,750 candidates have qualified to appear for the mains examination. Candidates may check their group 3 results now on the commission’s websites www.psc.ap.gov.in by entering their hall ticket number. An sms alert was also send to the candidates’ registered e-mail and mobile number regarding the declaration of group 3 results. The commission had uploaded the group 3 results online on Friday, late in the evening.
APPSC had conducted the group 3/panchayat secretary screening test on April 23, 2017 for which a total of 5,66,215 candidates had registered. The attendance recorded was really low (65%) as 3,67,341 candidates actually sat for the screening test in 13 districts of the state. APPSC had already noted in it’s information brochure that the ratio of vacancy to candidates selected for main exam on the basis of screening test results will be 1:50. And as it was calculated, only 52,750 made the cut for mains exam. The marks needed to qualify for mains exam were- 40% (for OC category), 35% for BC category and 30% for SC, ST and PH categories.
Notification no 29/2016
The notification no. 29/2016 was issued in December by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for 1,055 vacancies of Panchayat Secretary (Grade-IV) in Group 3 Services in Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service. The application process was carried out from December 31 to January 30, 2017.
APPSC has rescheduled the group 3 mains exam. The online test was earlier scheduled to be conducted on July 16 but will now be held on 6th August, 2017 as per the revised schedule notified by APPSC. Along with group 3 mains, group II services mains exam has also been postponed to 15 & 16 July from it’s original schedule of May. Only the candidates who have qualified in the screening test and have been called for mains exam will be issued hall tickets for the same.
Group 3 main exam will have two papers of 150 marks each. The final selection will be done on the basis of merit in mains exam and allotment of services/department will be done as per the rank achieved by candidates in the mains exam merit list, also taking district preference opted by them.
