Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducted the group 3 mains examination on August 6th and August 7th, the official answer keys for which have been released.
The mains test comprised of two papers:
- General Studies and mental Ability
- Rural Development and Problem in Rural Areas with special reference to Andhra Pradesh
A total of 52750 candidates were selected for the main exam, out of which, 35150 candidates from nine districts had given the exam on 6-08-2017, conducted in 135 centres. And the rest 17600 candidates gave the exam on 7-08-2017 in the remaining four districts, at 68 test centres.
The mains exam which was earlier scheduled to be held on 16 July, was changed to 6 August. And to avoid the difficulty of students to travel long distances to appear in the exam, the commission then decided to conduct the exam on two days, i.e.., 6 August and 7 August.
However, there has been no change in the minimum qualifying marks in mains exam that remains 40% for OC’s, 35% for BC’s, 30% for SC, ST PH candidates.
The students will be selected for the required vacancies according to the marks obtained by him/her in the exam. A merit list will be prepared accordingly, and hence, the candidates will be allotted to service /department as per their rank in the merit list.
